In 2012, in lieu of studying at Temple University, I did an online course called Integrative Nutrition. Integrative Nutrition is a program that certifies you to be a holistic health coach. I learned so much about eating healthy but also how to help other people to do so. With all of this new information I felt inspired to do something to give back and share what I learned.

In June of 2013, my family and I (my mother Kathy, my father John, and my boyfriend Yuri) moved to Nokomis Florida from the suburbs of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. After living here for a few months I realized that there were no places around that you could go get a smoothie or a juice made with organic fruits and vegetables. I felt that this was crucial for a place like Venice and that’s when the vision was born.

            We opened Island Organics March 1st 2013. We started with our smoothies and juice and over time added in a healthy lunch menu and breakfast menu. Our mission from the start has been to provide you with the best quality food in a fast-casual setting. We always try to get everything organic, local and fair trade when possible. At Island Organics you will find options for gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian diets. We are a company that is focused on healing and nourishing with food and we hope you enjoy our product as much as we do.
